I really like Reclamation. Acoustic music is not what I usually listen to, but this album works even for a Heep/metal fan like me. :)

I like all songs but if I had to choose one favourite it would be Nights of the Living Dead. You can't help but love a song that includes these lines:

Sleep tight
Don't let the bed-bugs bite

Just found this new site and as soon as I read there's a new album available I ordered it. I love acoustic stuff with an edge like, say, John Martyn or Roy Harper and if the album is even better than "13 Storeys", well...

It was in the mailbox this morning and I'm not disappointed. "Mood Swings & Roundabouts" is my favourite track at the moment. Reminds me of Zeppelin and Terry Reid 'though not as laid back as Reid's stuff. "Castaway" somehow reminded of another superb vocalist Peter Hammill. Maybe those layered gothic voices, maybe the fact that Hammill has a song called "Palinurus (Castaway)". Shouldn't write more, I've only listened the album once through.

BTW, what happened to "Fool's Gold" and "Whenever I Fall From Grace"?

Great to read your positive comments about Reclamation Pekka. "Fools Gold" was recorded for John's "Dark Matter" album but didn't make the cut. I'll ask John if I can add it as a download in the store. "Whenever I fall from Grace" has only been Demo'd so far but is one of my favourites of John's.

All the best

This album deserves a whole more praise than I can give. It's the perfect dog walking album;-) I find nothing better after a day at work to set off walking with Reclamation and my trusty pint sized dog beside me. It's funny how you can get lost in the music, sometimes I make it back home without knowing I've actually been. Thanks John for making me truly appreciate the acoustic set.
